Google Gphone in Two Weeks' Time?

While India might well figure last on Apple Computer's priority list vis-a-vis the iPhone, not so Google...

If reports are indeed true, the search giant is just two weeks away from the worldwide launch of its much hyped Google Phone or Gphone.
And, it is believed to be in talks with Indian service providers, the likes of Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Essar, and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for an exclusive launch on any one of their respective networks.

Sources close to the project reportedly revealed that a simultaneous launch across the US and Europe is expected, and that announcements would be sent to media firms in India and other parts of the world.

The only obstacle in Google's path is US regulatory approval, which is also expected soon, the sources added. Towards this global telephonic foray, the search major will take a hit to it's bottom line to the tune of an estimated $7-8 billion.

And while not confirmed, Google is also believed to be in talks with Indian providers for offering data and content and platforms including Instant Messaging (IM) and search functions.

Responding to these reports, a Google spokesperson said that they don't comment on market rumor or speculation. But that the company is committed to providing users with access to the world's information, and that mobile becomes more important to these efforts every day.

The spokesperson said they are collaborating with partners worldwide to bring Google search and applications to mobile users everywhere. However that as of now, they have nothing to announce...

NOKIA N98:

Baap ( Father ) of Apple iPhone.

Nokia N98 has been sighted on the net and will be released really soon according to Nokia France specification sheet. Despite it’s earlier claims that iPhone is no threat to lucrative NSeries smartphone multimedia computer business, Nokia was really frightened by it and started scrambling for an answer literary the next day. Result of that is new Nokia N98 who really looks like Apple iPhone, but when you look at specifications there is huge advantage over iPhone. So we might look at new mobile phone war in which only consumer can benefit by better products and new technologie

Specification:

* 7.2 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens
* Optical zoom x5 and digital zoom x20
* 3.5 inch VGA 16 million color touch screen

Nokia 7900:

Shot at 2007-07-23

Specification:

what impresses you the most would be the interesting criss-cross design in front and at the back. Measuring a mere 14mm thick, the 7900 will be equipped with Bluetooth and 3G connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera with flash, an integrated FM radio, email support, integrated audio and video players, 1GB of internal memory, and a very capable display that shows up to 16 million colors in 320 x 240 resolution, all packed into a body that measures 106mm x 44mm x 14mm. I personally think this is a hoax, as the design cues definitely do not lean toward the business-class image that is associated with such a handset, while 14mm sounds too slim for a Nokia.

Nokia E-90

Shot at 2007-07-23

Specification:

the 800 by 352 pixel by 24-bit colour main screen (dwell on those specs for a second - two and a half times wider than that on the E61 and almost double the height)
the full QVGA external screen (no more cut-down external interface)
the full integration of external and internal displays (so that you can switch seamlessly between the same application in open or closed mode!)
fast processor and around 80MB of RAM (yep, that’s RAM, not storage memory) free after booting
a significantly better keyboard
a more flexible hinge (stronger and allowing flat-use, as in the 9300)
an integrated GPS receiver (a la the N95, and a great match for the new Nokia Maps software/service)
a standard miniUSB port (no more Pop-port, thankfully) and stereo headphone socket
a far superior (3 megapixel, auto-focus, with flash) stills camera
a pretty decent (VGA resolution, 25 frames per second) video camera
